We are looking for creatives who want to do more than document what is happening.

We want people who see what could be happening.

The ideal creator is:

Experienced.
You understand professional productions, set etiquette, lighting, talent, styling, photography and the pace of a working creative environment.

Visually sophisticated.
You have a strong understanding of composition, light, movement, color, texture, framing and visual storytelling.

Creative.
You don't simply wait for something interesting to happen. You recognize moments, anticipate movement and create imagery with intention.

Fast and efficient.
Editorial productions move quickly. You must be able to create exceptional work without disrupting the production or requiring excessive direction.

Collaborative.
You will be working alongside Shamayim, photographers, filmmakers, models, stylists, makeup artists, hair artists, designers, producers and other creatives. You must know how to contribute without interfering with the creative process.

Professional.
Punctuality, communication, discretion, preparation and reliability are essential.

There is a significant distinction between documenting a production and creating content from a production.

We are looking for the latter.

Your work should not feel like random cellphone footage, casual Instagram Stories or generic “day on set” content.

You do not need to be a traditional photographer or cinematographer.

However, you must understand imagery.

A technically competent creator without a point of view is not what we are looking for.

SHAMAYIM is particularly interested in creatives who bring bold, original ideas to the table.

If you envision an interesting sequence, create it.

If you see an opportunity for a different perspective, take it.

If you have an idea for how a production could translate into a compelling piece of film, bring it to the team.

We are building a creative network—not simply hiring camera operators.

Your point of view matters.

SHAMAYIM productions can be highly visual, fast-moving and demanding.

There may be multiple wardrobe changes, locations, lighting setups, models, artists, clients and moving parts happening simultaneously.

You must be comfortable working within that environment while remaining calm, observant and creatively engaged.
