We are currently expanding our in-house production team and seeking elite Makeup Artists and Hair Stylists with strong editorial and commercial experience to collaborate on projects worldwide.

Role Overview

As a member of the SHAMAYIM Studios in-house production team, you will be responsible for delivering refined, camera-ready hair and makeup for fashion editorials, advertising campaigns, film productions, and private commissions. You must be equally fluent in editorial storytelling and commercial polish, with a deep understanding of lighting, skin, texture, movement, and continuity.

You will work closely with the Creative Director, photographers, producers, stylists, and models to ensure visual cohesion and elevate the final image.

Core Responsibilities

Makeup Artist

  • Execute high-end editorial and commercial makeup for stills and motion

  • Create clean, luxurious skin finishes appropriate for studio and location lighting

  • Adapt looks quickly across multiple concepts, moods, and brand identities

  • Maintain consistency and continuity across full-day and multi-day shoots

  • Prepare models for high-resolution photography and cinema-quality video

  • Maintain impeccable hygiene, sanitation, and kit organization

  • Collaborate with hair stylists, wardrobe stylists, and producers seamlessly

Hair Stylist

  • Create editorial and commercial hairstyles aligned with creative direction

  • Work confidently with diverse hair textures, lengths, and structures

  • Design looks ranging from minimal and sculptural to expressive and dramatic

  • Maintain hair health and integrity under demanding production conditions

  • Execute quick changes and refinements throughout the shoot day

  • Ensure continuity for stills and motion work

  • Maintain a professional, organized, and production-ready kit

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven editorial and commercial portfolio (print, digital, and/or film)

  • Experience working on professional sets with photographers, directors, and producers

  • Strong understanding of lighting, camera formats, and high-resolution capture

  • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints without compromising quality

  • Comfort working with luxury fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands

  • Professional demeanor, discretion, and reliability

  • Passport-ready and open to international travel (preferred)

Production Environment & Workflow

  • Projects range from intimate studio shoots to large-scale international productions

  • Work includes fashion editorials, advertising campaigns, brand films, and private commissions

  • Team members may be booked for single-day shoots, multi-day productions, or extended projects

  • Call times, locations, and creative briefs are distributed in advance by production

  • Punctuality and preparedness are mandatory

  • Absolute professionalism on set at all times

  • Respect for talent, crew, and creative leadership

  • No unauthorized behind-the-scenes content or posting without written approval

  • Confidentiality is required for all unreleased projects and clients

  • Personal branding must never supersede the production or client

  • Clean, neutral, and production-appropriate attire required on set

  • Zero tolerance for unprofessional behavior, lateness, or disorganization

Compensation

  • Competitive, project-based compensation aligned with experience and scope

  • Travel, accommodations, and per diem provided for destination productions when applicable

  • Long-term collaborators may be prioritized for recurring projects and international work
